Programs

Gymbabes
|
(6 months to Walking)
With parent involvement, Gymbabes helps to stimulate and encourage babies to use all their senses, gently and without pressure. The class enhances environmental awareness through exploration and it supports tactile and sensory development.
What the experts say
Phyical play, of the sort you get at Gymbabes, is great for developing muscles, breathing and circulation. It maximises the training of the body. Physical movements are the way babies begin to understand space, and the movement in a Gymbabes class can improve their spatial skills. There’s even evidence that such movement may promote small scale skills, such as building with bricks or playing with construction toys. And it may be related to later mathematical ability too. Gymbabes is also a valuable togetherness-time for a mother (or carer) and her baby.
Child psychologist and author Dorothey Einon
Gymbabes allows babies to learn through experience how to trust their own bodies and helps them to gain confidence in the things they can do. As parents, we begin to understand what our children are capable of and how to help them without compromising their independence.
Chartered educational psychologist Denise Thornton
Gymbabes gives babies the very best start, particularly from the physical point of view. Each baby develops at their own pace and the sessions allow for this so they have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Gymbabes is a fantastic gentle introduction to the Tumble Tots programme.
